Signature practices
Our curriculum includes preschool Signature Practices that offer hands-on approaches to encourage the skills your child will need in kindergarten and beyond:
-
Christ Centered: Our preschool program is built on the belief of Matthew 19:14, "Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."" We strive to teach the children that they were created by God, they are loved by Him, and that He has a plan for their life.
- Montessori Elements: Montessori Learning creates order, concentration, and independence in children. Intentional classroom design, materials, and daily routines support the student's emerging ability to educate one's self, and to think about what one is learning. We incorporate elements of this learning method throughout our classrooms and teaching methods.
- Play-Based Learning: We believe in play based learning because of how it stimulates a child's drive for exploration and discovery. Play based learning encourages taking initiative, creates focused attention, and builds curiosity around the world. This is why we make it the center of our curriculum.
- Learning Without Tears & Handwriting Without Tears: This award winning curriculum will prepare your child with the handwriting and learning skills they need for Kindergarten and beyond.
- STEAM Activities: Building and problem solving using science, technology, engineering, art, and math
- Chapel Times: We use our once a week chapel times to establish the weekly remember verse, songs, & stories that we will repeat and practice throughout the week.
